ERA Justin Realty and It’s Agents Help Make the Holidays Special

 

ERA Justin Realty spent the holiday season giving back to the community that they serve. Beginning with Giving Tuesday, the office started collecting food for the food pantry. Thanks to the generosity of the agents and local residents who contributed food, ERA Justin was able to help fill the Rutherford Food Pantry with food for the holidays. The Rutherford Community Pantry, Inc. is a volunteer non-profit organization which meets emergency and ongoing needs for food and personal hygiene items for citizens of Rutherford and members of Rutherford religious institutions who are referred by an approved agency throughout the year. It is a joint effort of concerned citizens, community faith congregations and civic organizations.

 

The second charity ERA Justin Realty helped is Toys For Tots. In conjunction with the ERA Real Estate network, the ERA Justin Realty agents contributed new toys to the program which is run by the US Marine Corps Reserve. Their mission is to bring the joy of Christmas to less fortunate children. The entire ERA Real Estate network had 253 participating offices in the drive with over 7,500 agents who collected more than 8,300 toys this holiday season. The third charity that ERA Justin helped this holiday season is NJ Food & Clothing Rescue. The staff of ERA Justin contributed items on wish lists of needy families in the area that were provided by the charity to help make their Christmas happy. NJ Food & Clothing Rescue have been helping local families since 2015. This is the 4th year that ERA Justin has adopted families through the program.

Collaboration With Move For Hunger To Stock Food Pantries Around The Country

ERA Justin Realty Owner-Brokers Ron Darby and Jennifer Darby Metzger with their strong administrative staff including Nona Orlando, Cindy Plessel, Mary Ellen Schnackenberg, Glenn Elliot, Jennifer Mazone and Michele Korosy have announced that ERA will be the first real estate brand to work on a national level with Move For Hunger, a non-profit organization that mobilizes the relocation industry to reduce food waste and fight hunger. The collaboration will enable the ERA®  network of participating brokers and their affiliated agents to tap into Move For Hunger's network of more than 1,000 relocation companies to collect food and fill food pantries in advance of the holiday season and support the ERA "Feed the Need" campaign.

"Connecting with ERA agents and brokers both complements and advances our mission, so this collaboration was a natural fit," explained Adam Lowy, founder and executive director of Move For Hunger. "By combining the strength of our network of relocation companies with ERA Real Estate's network of brokers and agents, we have the ability to get food to those who need it most."

Thanksgiving Special for Area Families

The mission of the Rutherford Community Pantry is to be a volunteer non-profit organization which meets emergency and ongoing needs for food and personal hygiene items for citizens of Rutherford and members of Rutherford Institutions who are referred by an approved agency Their prime mission is to maintain services to keep their visitors free from hunger. They work hard to maintain each individual’s dignity by offering choices for personal needs as well. They have nearly 200 households registered for pantry services. Donations of food or personal hygiene items may be dropped off at the Pantry during the hours of operation. For larger donations, please call the Pantry to arrange a drop-off time. The Rutherford Community Pantry is a joint effort of community faith congregations, organizations, and concerned citizens.
