Darby’s career began as sales manager of K Realty where he focused and built that brand into a successful 5 office firm with two Rutherford offices, plus offices in Lyndhurst, North Arlington and a South Jersey office location serving Stafford Township and Long Beach Island.  From the Stafford Township office, he was responsible for the construction of nearly 200 custom single and multi-family dwellings.  He later was encouraged by Justin Tokarski, founder of Justin Realty, to form a partnership to duplicate the success he created at K Realty.  He added, “I had known of Justin’s impeccable real estate reputation as a broker and past mayor of Rutherford.  He called me asking for a meeting.  We agreed that I join him, and the rest is history. Metzger, upon graduating from college with an Earth and Space Science Education degree, decided to join the family business as a real estate professional. Combining her college degree with her real estate knowledge, she obtained her Real Estate Teaching Certificate, which gave her the ability to teach real estate as a state instructor at a school or university. Jennifer Darby Metzger of ERA Justin Realty recently attended ERA Real Estate’s 2017 Young Leaders Network Summit, the 6^th annual elite educational event hosted in Columbia, South Carolina by ERA Wilder Realty. Jennifer is a long-standing President’s Circle Member. Attendees represented many of the most successful ERA organizations across the U.S. Pictured with Jennifer Darby Metzger whose company serves Northern to Southern New Jersey is Stephanie Bellanova of ERA Central Realty Group who serves Southern and Western New Jersey.

 

Over the three-day long event Jennifer and the other 27 Young Leaders participated in team-building and professional development centered around the theme of  technological growth through the Zap platform, to social media to recruitment and agent development programs. Attendees also heard about success stories from the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), that helps place staff in the right roles to help the company reach high-level business goals and growth.

 

Jennifer and Stephanie were also treated to a private session in the South Carolina State House, where they met with Governor Henry McMaster, who took the leaders through a history of his state as seen through the lens of real estate development.

Flashback to spring 2011, ERA Justin Realty was approached by Rutherford Recreation to be a sponsor of a Rutherford Little League girls softball team. Without hesitation the answer was a resounding yes, never realizing that that team would be honored as the champs for that season, and  now a proud sponsor for the 7th year in a row.  For the first time this season, the Major Division was split in two Divisions with ERA Justin's team made up of 9 & 10 year olds ERA Justin Realty Sponsors 2017 Little League Girls Softball where they will develop their skills among their peers preparing them for the next level.  In addition, the Major Division will compete in an inter-league with teams from nearby towns.   ERA Justin Realty's team manager is Joe Cappello. Coaching along with him is Kathleen Carr and Mike Micek. 

 

Ron Darby and Jennifer Darby Metzger, ERA Justin Co. broker co-owner offered, “Girls softball was long overdue as there had never been Little League Girls in Rutherford. This was to be the start of something wonderful for our town. And at the end of the first season it was proven to be a big success with many wonderful Little League Girls  teams sponsored by many of our outstanding area business leaders. Little League Girls was on its way, teams were formed, the excitement began each season with a parade through Rutherford leading to Memorial Park for their first games and in a blink, now several seasons later, great success for many girls teams.”

We had our first game and won 4-2 against the Lions. We are anticipating a great and fun 2017 season, starting with our first win."

     ERA Justin Realty Begins MDA Summer Camp For Kids 2017

Dallas Texas: The Muscular Dystrophy Association in conjunction with ERA Justin Realty began the 2017 MDA Summer Camp for kid’s fundraiser at their recent International Business Conference.

ERA Justin Realty’s Ron Darby, Carol D. Calamari, Michelle Korosy, Gloria Darby, Catherine Nimmo, Jennifer Darby Metzger and Jennifer Sullivan attended the conference, where they were honored as members of the MDA President’s Club for their outstanding work during current and previous years.

Ron and Jennifer representing ERA’s New Jersey campaign joined others nationwide where they reviewed plans to send as many MDA kids to summer camp and shared their insights and plans for 2017.

Each year MDA supports some 90 summer camps across the country. Whether in Alaska or Hawaii, in California or New Jersey, at MDA camp barriers simply don’t exist. A child with a disability can just be a child among friends. MDA camp is a magical place offering a wide range of activities specially designed for young people who have limited mobility or use wheelchairs. MDA camp programs, although structured, are conducted in a relaxed atmosphere that gives campers an unmatched opportunity to develop lifelong friendships, share interests and build self-confidence. Activities range from outdoor sports such as swimming, boating, baseball and horseback riding to less physically demanding programs like arts and crafts and talent shows. Thousands of youngsters attend MDA camp each year at no cost to their families. We are honored to receive original art from the MDA kids that are featured on our office walls.


If you’re 16 or older, you’re invited to apply to join the MDA team as a camp volunteer. At most MDA camps, volunteer counselors work one-on-one with campers around the clock, providing the care, close supervision and attention children with neuromuscular diseases need. Counselors push wheelchairs, lift and carry youngsters, and even "bunk down" near their campers. But above all, they become a youngster’s friend for a week and sometimes for a lifetime.


By becoming an MDA summer camp sponsor you can provide a local youngster with neuromuscular disease with many special summer memories. As a sponsor, you will be invited to visit the local MDA camp during our special sponsor VIP Day. You’ll see the joy that your participation in this program creates. Your involvement will also be saluted on the local broadcast of the MDA Labor Day Telethon.
